Each year I try to ride the Skyline Trail up to Lewis Peak but I can't ever seem to make it happen. I'm determined to do it this year. It'll probably be a saturday and probably last minute notice.
I'll plan for about 4-6 hours.
Go early in the morning its a hot SOB:cry1:. HAHA I will be gone over the 4th but I would do that ride with ya at short notice one Sat.

Best (better?) ridden clockwise because of the 1 mile 20% grade down to the top of North Ogden Pass. There is a little pavement necessary near Eden.

If I'm available, I would be game. You could do it as an evening ride just up to the peak and back or up to the saddle. It is a fun ride, but preferably in moring, as that climb in the afternoon gets hot. It is better at about 7pm or later to start.

I'd do it in the evening but I want to leave a lot of time. I'm slow uphill and I like to take a ton of pictures, mess around with video camera angles, and make an excuse to complain about the climb. :haha: So I think I'm gonna have to do this in the morning. My work schedule is really unpredictable during the summer, I've got a ton of side jobs until school starts back up again, so it will be hard to give ample notice, but I'll try. It's usually via text. :cool2:
By the way, thanks for the map, Gene. I might do it as an up and back to the peak, but if I'm sure I've got the time, I'd love to make the whole loop.

Count me in with you, I will check my previous rides but I would assume at the junction up top there is going to be a large amount of snow blocking the trail south at the junction in order to even make it up to lewis. With the amount of snow @ the top of basin I am pretty sure you may have to wait to make it to lewis a little later in the year? I can use some help with my GO-pro so it would be fun!

Last time I did the ride, I rode up from skyline with the Spur to Lewis and here is what my ride looked like. 15.39 Miles, 4059 feet of climbing, 2:52 minutes total ride time. with 4-6 hours even if you do take it slow you should have plenty of time and plenty of legs to get up there. This trail is always a fun ride especially with some good company.
