I can't say that our trip was really as productive as I had hoped but we did in fact have lots of fun in the snow.

I linked the "here" button to my blog. The photos were all taken yesterday 6-23-2011.
The road was closed just below (and around a curve from) the bald mountain pass. There was a giant snow blower busily blowing snow right around the outlook area of the pass. There was no way anyone was going to get into the turnoff for Washington lake. Although, a couple campgrounds several miles below Washington Lake looked like they were campable but still pretty moist.
