Bright and early on Saturday morning we drove over to the ghost town of St. Elmo before all of the crowds showed up.

After walking around and checking out the old town, we backtracked a little so we could drive up Mount Antero.
There were a number of switchbacks along the way

Then we tried to take the short side trip to Browns Lake.

Unfortunately, when we got to within 3/4 of a mile from the lake, we were stopped by a snow drift across the trail.

Since we didn't make it to the lake, we made our way over to the Baldwin Lakes for lunch instead.

After leaving the Baldwin Lakes we decided to check out the Pomeroy Lakes. On our way there, we took the short hike to the Ghost House which is near the trailhead for the Iron Chest Mine Trail.

The it was back to camp for the evening. On Sunday, before we headed home, we wanted to try and get up to Grizzly Lake.
I managed to high center myself on the very first ledge and had to winch up it.
