My cousin found this snake in her yard and took this picture of it. She's supposed to be sending me a larger picture later, which I will post, but for now, here it is:

One important question is where is your cousin's yard? I'll wait for the larger photo before taking a guess, this one is too hard to see.

That's a rare pixelated snake. They are good for hunting in thumbnails.

Yeah, I'll post another picture if she gets me one. This is the one she posted on Facebook. She lives in Herriman.

My guess is a young gopher snake.

From the tiny crappy picture it could be a Bull Snake. I live nearby in Draper, we used to have a lot of Bull Snakes around here until the neighborhoods grow up and they all disappeared. Maybe they all just moved to Herriman?

Looking at the picture, I can't tell if the color pattern is spots or stripes. Spots would point it towards a Gopher Snake; stripes point at a Bull Snake. Both make excellent pets though. :2thumbs:

For some reason, she hasn't sent me the pic. If she does I'll post it. But thanks. I was thinking gopher snake as well, but it could be a bull snake too. Just not clear enough.
