:facepalm1:

I put thread locker on a little alan screw on my brake lever that kept coming loose, I think I dripped some down the cable line. My brake still works, it just sticks pretty bad and won't spring back, I have to manually move the brake lever back to open position.

Anything that will loosen thread locker? I tried spraying some Teflon lube down there, no luck.

carb and choke cleaner from any auto parts store. It removes everything.

I wouldn't use the carb cleaner as it is known to eat plastics (like cable housings ).. Give some regular brake cleaner a try.. you may have to pull your cable apart to get it done right though :)

I've seen it eat stickers and such but I regularly hose down my dirt bike and mtn bike with the stuff and have never had an issue. Alcohol or kerosene will do the job as well. In fact this weekend I used Coleman Camping fuel (a can of this costs $2.99 and you can fill a bucket) to clean my chains and sprockets on both the YZ and the Hardrock. Stuff works wonders!
