I could see the use in selling unused federal buildings. But land! I'm not sold on that idea at all. A better idea would be to cut health and retirement plans for politicians and make them do what every other American does. Get off the gravy train. I think we also need to cut the military spending. That would be a bigger "dent" in the trillions of debt than a few acres of land.

This is not new.

It was proposed by the Bush administration back in February 2006. One of the areas proposed for the sale was Labyrinth Canyon.
