Enough of the flippin' rain. I'm starting to look for some rain gear that's easy to ride in.

I've got a poncho but that thing's like an oversized prom dress, I can't see a thing below my neck.

Thinking of something like this

Any experience?

Frog toggs actually work very well for breathability and staying dry. They seem a little bulky. I prefer gortex for rain gear. By the way I have seen the Frog toggs go on sale at Cabellas for half the price of amazon. Biking in the rain sucks. Even with disk brakes, you still usually trash your drive train because mud will cake on the tire and then it will get scraped off by the chain and end up jacking your rear derailur.

My upper body gear is just an old rubber 'Highlander' (you know the immortals...) hoodie. I still have to look for a new bottom for to cover my soaking wet butt....haven't found 'em yet....stopping in the Tanger outlet stores on the way down friday at the Pearl Izumi store & Colombia outlet. :cool2:
