I just saw your Facebook post on the Four Paws Rescue Dog's Den. I've been a volunteer with Four Paws for 7 years. I didn't know Nikita was a Four Paws dog!!! Was she under a different name? I was going to pull up an old photo for you.

Yep, she is a Four Paws Dog alright, I'm pretty sure I adopted her right at the beginning of 2004 so maybe you knew her? I think she was spending a lot of time at one of the owners homes. That's where I went to meet her and adopt her. I have the pics at home that were on the petfinder site from when she was an adolescent, probably a few months before I adopted her. I wish there were some out there from earlier than that. I think she had been living at Four Paws for almost a year when I found her. Here are some pics of her from about a year after the adoption, she's a lot more grey now, I don't have anything pre-2005 online unfortunately.

I think I remember her because we don't usually get too many brindled colored dogs and I think we called her a Dutch Shepherd mix possibly?

She was actually listed as an Akita/Pit mix. I'll post one of her adoption pics from the shelter when I'm on my home computer tonight.
