Was on the White Rim last week.
Here are the current conditions since the opening of the Mineral Bottom Road:
Teh Mineral Bottom Road has been realigned and is in excellent conditions. The west side of the White Rim was the smoothest that I've seen it. There weren't hardly any rough spots at all. The NPS was down there with with a bulldozer and a blade and has really smoothed it out.
The White Crack spur was the roughest I've seen it (but still not that rough) going to the campsite, but when leaving the campsite the next evening, it was all smoothed out.
The eastern half of the White Rim was rougher than I've seen it, but the NPS was working on that section and it should be done soon, if it isn't already. There was one big washout, but then again we did that section in the dark.
In other words, the White Rim was as fun as always, but soon (for better or worse), it will probably have all the rough spots smoothed out.
