I climbed Independence Monument and just learned that 5.9 is much more difficult than it used to be. It took my two tries and even on try #2 I was quite bumbling and couldn't have done it without the leader. My desk job is killing me slowly. I've been spending long days in the office.
It was still a beautiful climb though and is the highest rock tower (measured from the base) in Colorado.

Me on P4 on try #2 on April 1. The crux is just ahead, but in the photo, I'm currently on the easiest pitch.
