We've got a new feature here on Bogley. Not only is it a calendar, but we can RSVP and even have a discussion thread per event. We've been discussing this in the BigShots Requests forum as we planned and ironed out the details.

This can come in handy for Invites, posting various gatherings like canyons, hikes, or rides, or even BBQs and lunches.

Here's a quick youtube video for a tutorial. (Sorry, the volume might be a bit low)

The calendar can be accessed up in the red NavBar;

43173

Or by this link http://www.bogley.com/forum/calendar.php

When an event is added, it automatically gets posted as a thread in the "Event Calendar" subforum in Bogley Unplugged, or here:
http://www.bogley.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?68-Event-Calendar

Events can be posted to the calendar EITHER by adding from the Calendar side, or by creating a new thread in the Event Calendar subforum.

Here is a Sample Event. If you'd like some practice, go ahead and RSVP here, add a comment, and/or reply to the thread to see how it all works:

I'm psyched that this finally got added! Btw, I loved seeing Dancing Carlton in the vid. Haha.

Anywho, I really hope members take advantage of this feature.

I enjoy how it's easily accessible and has a RSVP list.

Time to email the Tapatalk developers to implement this feature now...

Looks like it's starting to get used. @Iceaxe (http://www.bogley.com/forum/member.php?u=36) even threw is own birthday party on there.

We'll give this a little spotlight in the general discussion area for a bit then I'll move it to the tutorials section.

...and for some strange reason the comments display differently depending on what browser you're using. :ne_nau: That's not a huge priority issue at the moment. It displays best in Firefox.

Internet Explorer:
43206

Firefox:
43207

One odd thing: my RSVP status shows as maybe on the Zion fest, but when I check on the details the radio button is set to "yes".

A question: can the discussion threads be hyperlinked to a forum? Folks may not check for new posts if the have to navigate into the calendar.

Hmm... anybody else having this issue? What happens if you change the radio button to Maybe, will it change your RSVP?

Ah, it's actually just the layout that's confusing. The header for "No" shows up on the same line as the avatar for the last person who responded "yes". I'm seeing this on Safari.
