So I've got mixed opinions on this. The drive up there if you're doing the shuttle - brutal if your automobile suspension isn't the greatest. Not only is it a rough road, but it's long, I think 11 miles?
The trail itself, pretty decent. It gets off to a slow start on a double track road, but once you start cruising, it's some decent cruising. The singletrack is skinny which is cool, but there are some turns that are a little too sharp for maximum cruising speed.
The trail is pretty rocky in a lot of areas, good suspension is recommended, but the rocks can be pretty optimal for the trail in some ways, adding some interesting terrain. The majority of the trail is cruising through green field grass terrain with lava rock poking out.
Then on to Broken Mesa, the notorious exit road is pretty hairy.
Would I do it again? Tough call, it really depends on the dirt road. I'd do it again for the trail itself, and @Pelon1 (http://www.bogley.com/forum/member.php?u=17949) was saying that the road is usually in better shape, maybe we were on it just too early in the year.
Anyways, on to the video and photos:
