WASATCH COUNTY, Utah
After missing since Sunday afternoon, the two snowmobilers in Wasatch County's backcountry were found by search and rescue Tuesday evening.
Wasatch County Sheriff Todd Bonner said rescuers spotted the two coming out of a makeshift shelter waving to alert the search helicopter at about 6 p.m.
Brock Bresnan and Craig D'Alessandro were last seen Sunday at Lake Creek Trailhead near Tower Mountain.
It was hours before the search was to be called off when search and rescue found the two. The men survived Monday night's whiteout snow conditions.
Wasatch search and rescue staged their search from the trailhead, 10-15 miles outside of Heber City.
The men, who were said to be in their 20's, were friends who worked together at an autobody shop in Salt Lake City. They frequently made trips out to Lake Creek Trail.
