Nascar in Vegas

A couple of us went out to the Nascar race Sunday at the Speedway. I'm not a big Nascar fan but we had a pretty good time. It was overcast with nice weather in the 70's. I was blown away by how powerful the cars sound. LOUD. You can feel the engines as they roar past, exciting.

We were right at the apex of turn 3 so we got to see all of the wrecks. When Gordon smashed into the wall we were right there and it was loud and made the whole section vibrate.

That guy was a true Nascar fan! He had the walkie talkie thingy hooke dup tp some speakers so we could all hear what the drivers were saying. We happened to be listening to the guy who was behind the car that caught on fire and he said real calmy "um....the car in front of me is on fire" it was great. He took the time to explain all the drivers and pit rules and stuff. He was great. He and his kids all had on matching outfits. Cool.
