Gunlock Rock Art

Because I am jealous of the Moab Rock Art series of TR's I decided to find some petroglyphs and such near Hurricane. The first ones I visited were near Quail Creek Reservoir. (http://www.bogley.com/forum/showthread.php?47456-Quail-Creek-Petro-s)Today I went to some near Gunlock. I didnt know today was the lake to lake marathon so just getting out there was a hassle trying to avoid runners but it turned out totally to be worth it. We found lots of pottery, chippings and some sweet petroglyphs. Including one that was a Blue Heron??

Very nice, Matt. There is an alcove with some nice art out by Gunlock that I've been trying to find the beta on. I asked at the BLM but the lady said she won't give out the information. I found it on Google Earth but I don't think there was accurate Lat/Lon. Below is a link to some info for that area, as well as a Google Earth map. Look at the area marked "360" for a Pano from the "Naming Cave".
