Today I was driving past Deer Creek where there is always some poor animal lying on the side of the road. I am always on the lookout to not add to it, but at least this time I spotted a Gold Eagle on a deer that made it about 20 feet of the road and up a hill. I used to chase Hawks and Eagles alot back when I had my 500mm F4 At least I had my 100-400 with me today. At least it let me take pictures for 5 mins before it flew up the hill.

Great capture!!! Like the pics:2thumbs: Once in a blue moon you'll see a Bald on carrion down here. And a little more frequently you'll see the Caracara on carrion. Something gets hit down here, the Turkey and Black Vultures are on it as soon as the sun comes up.
