This would be a good hike if you have a half day to kill after flying into or waiting to fly out of Las Vegas. Take US 95 south from Railroad Pass and turn left onto NV 165 heading east towards Nelson. 9 miles along NV 165 reach the top of Rifle Pass and pull off on the left. You can park the car just off the highway and walk the jeep track another couple hundred yards to where the one mile trail to the arch branches right per the photo below.

The clearly defined trail follows the ridgeline for a bit before gently decending into a wash. A couple minor arches/windows mark the spot.

Getting closer to the arch, a big rock teeters for a view

At last the arch/bridge comes into view. This is a class 1 hike with some easy boulder hopping to get thru the arch.

From the other side. This arch also goes by the name Gregory. Techatticup and Rainbow Bridge are also monikers that show up on Google.

Back at the trailhead, you might consider driving a few miles further down 165 to the old gold mining town of Nelson and the interesting sites and sights there.

Rt 165 ends a few miles later at an overlook of the Colorado River.

To make a full day of it you could return to US 95 and drive further south to visit Keyhole and Grapevine Canyons.

Love the antiques...

You don't sit at the airport drinking and putting money in the slots? How un-Las Vegas of you! :lol8:
