I agree. Good move for the Spazz. They don't need a grumpy Williams for the next year when he is going to leave anyway. They got quite a bit out of this deal. Have fun in New Jersey! 17-40! :lol8:

I’m kind of torn on this. I don’t think it was a win-win more of a not getting completely screwed over when he leaves. I think it was probably a better move for Jazz management. He was probably going to leave and it would have been a distraction next season (if there is a next season). He had talent though and replacing his talent is not going to be easy. The Jazz are definitely going to suck BIG TIME for a while. They should try to blow the rest of the season and try for a great shot in the draft but I’m kind of scared the Jazz would do something stupid with their pick (like they always do) and I’m not excited about anybody in the draft at the moment.
Since they are officially rebuilding they really need to get rid of AK. He’s too much money for not much talent on the court. I don’t see anybody offering anything for him though. Giving him that deal a few years back showed how stupid Jazz management are.

The NBA needs to put in a hard cap or they will just become MLB, where the haves just buy championships and everyone else is a punching bag.

Jazz will try to trade up to get an early draft pick and pick up Jimmer! He is white, and already lives in Utah...perfect fit for the Jazz.

I don't think the Jazz will have to trade up if they want Jimmer. Jimmer is a first round pick, but not a lottery pick...

Jimmer has some downside as a pro... he's not quick enough to play the point and he's not big enough to play the 4..... That..... and he is clueless when it comes to playing D. Fortunately for Jimmer defense can be taught, but you can't teach size and speed....

YMMV... :cool2:

Dang... the new players looked good last night against the Celtic's, and the team is back to playing with some heart.

Harris is doing a nice job on point and Favors has the ability to develop into a monster if his desire matches his physical abilities.

I'm cheering for the Jazz to just make the playoffs this year so the team can gain some playoff experience for next year. The Jazz now have a very young team and a lot of players on the Jazz have never been to the playoffs.

I liked the effort last night. A few of those Celtics are just ridiculously good. I was off the Jazz bandwagon before the trade and now I find myself back on. This trade made things interesting and I love the work ethic of this team. They may make mistakes, but you cant fault their effort. :2thumbs:
