Well Fish Lake is a LONG WAYS from my house.
The 5 year old was up at 3:00 AM ready to go and did not fall back asleep until we were on the ice for about a 1/2 hour. We left the house @ 6:40.......:cry1:
Ice was a good 22" thick and I put about 20 holes in the ice. My friends 4" auger is the BOMB!!!!! 2 minutes a hole and easy to do.
Fishing was fast mostly and the Perch were no match for a worm & a little hook. Fished 19-22' of water all day right on the edge of the shelf.
86 perch and only 2 (16" Splake & a 15" Bow) Trout for the day, but who cares, it was a great day and I spent the entire day in a T-shirt!!!!!!! Temps were in the 20's but it was dead calm and brilliant all day. My kinda weather.
