View Full Version : spring UT camping suggestion?
Hey guys, I'm planning on going camping over spring break (end of march). I'm looking for some suggestions on somewhere new to go. its seems like I always go to the same places over and over. I'm just looking to get out with a few buddies and have a quiet remote relaxing and fun time - I don't want to go to like zions national park or somewhere where there's going to be herds of people. I'm thinking more southern/central Utah for some warmer temps and desety stuff. We'll likely do some just wandering around / hiking so trails would be nice, but we can always blaze our own (if applicable/legal haha).
do you guys have any suggestions?
San Rafael Swell is sometimes good around that time. It really depends on the weather.
Capital Reef
St George area- Virgin River Gorge, Snow canyon (probably busy that time of year)
Escalante has a bunch of remote stuff.
Where have you been? Do you do any technical stuff? Multi day stuff? That will help narrow it down.
I'm a pretty experienced hiker, but I don't do anything technical. I'm just after a good place to go car camping with some pals to relax and do some hiking for a few days during spring break that's away from the crowds.
