And now for my critique of the half time show....

Complete and utter crap, ruined in part by Fergie, what an awful singer. I mean really... Fergie was obviously singing because she was flat as a pancake and her levels were off. For a band that relies on autotune to a level that's annoying, you'd think they could have helped her out a little......

And let me give Usher his due props for contributing to tarnishing the spirit of music by lip-synching in order to devote more energy to his ******y dancing. Hell... The lip-sync wasn't even synced..... if your production team can't get the time code right between the monitor and what's being broadcast, that's a problem. Seriously, can ANY of these dancing retards make a frickin' dime without autotuner?

This whole heaping pile of male-bovine-excrement only attests to my belief that if music requires backup dancing, then its not music, it's tween pandering drivel.

The Superbowl half time show should be renamed "A Full Demonstration of what is wrong with Todays Music".

In the future.... How about NO half time spectacle and just play the frickin' game and be done with it.

:cool2:
That is all........

Agreed, the sound never seemed right, either.

Waste of viewing time.

You forgot to mention Slash. Why even invite him to such crap? Like when they combines Aerosmith with Britney Spears... WTF? So someone thinks it'll be good for Slash to join in - hell, maybe he's a football fan and wanted to be part of the big show - so let's allow him to play for a few seconds with Fergie rubbing herself numb on him them make him disappear when the Usher ******ry begins. One piece of talent in the whole production and they cut him short... or did he cut himself down to the minimum contractual agreement after seeing the crap he was to be party to? Either way the fans deserved better.

At lunch today some guy in the booth next to us loudly proclaimed how much he enjoyed the half time show. The other 4 guys and a gal in the booth with him went to town on his ass. Nice to know I wasn't the only one who disliked it.

I agree, can the half time 'show', and make it a normal 20 minute halftime instead of the 40 minutes which can adversly have an effect on the game (I think the Packers' defense fell asleep)

I liked it. Yeah, Fergie has an average (at best) voice. They had audio problems. Light problems. I like the Black Eyed Peas. I thought they were good, the visual stuff well done. Will admit I cringed when I saw Slash start up on Sweet Child, then, cringed again when Fergie was warmin' up to sing it...but...she did "ok". Was kind of a weird direction, but, worked ok.

Was kinda hopin' Usher couldn't get unattached from the wire (ha ha). The jump to the splits was pretty wild. Not a fan of his to start, so, kinda ignored his contribution.

Better than a bunch of has been over the hill rockers? I dunno. Its a spectacle and hard to pull off well for any genre of music.

Edit to add: yeah, and I took a beatin' at the lunch table at work today (ditto on the CA anthem too). Too funny.

Best commercial? Detroit with Marshall. I didn't find Darth Vader that great. Suffered at lunch for that one too. Heavy sigh...
