LOL! At first I was like "lame". But the shots he got were awesome, so I have changed my opinion. Pretty cool!

cool

To be honest I am already sick of the helmet cam mania thats sweeping across the planet. 1% of the videos are even worth watching because its always ho-hum lame ass footage of some random dude dicking around on the groomers or single track.
Not saying I could do any better... but I dont own a helmet cam.

I saw some footage from a mount like this, it looked pretty cool. I would say the camera mounted to my actual helmet facing forward is my least favorite mount now. It's all about the angles.
I'm going to make one.

thats a sweet video and I like all the different angles, I still like the chest mount as one of my favorite shots.

I'll be using the Pole Mount a lot, sticking the camera right down by the tires as somebody rides past, might make for some cool slo-mo footage.

My favorite mount so far is on the stem plate on the bike right above the fork. It stays steady and the view you get feels like it's where you would be looking anyway & doesnt feel like you are up in the air looking down on the trail. Just sayin':cool2:.

Anyone ever try to make a mount that puts the camera above and behind you looking forward? Kind of like a 3rd person perspective similar to this:

Only hand-held, but I plan on making some different angles:

Yep, that's exactly what I was thinking of. How did you devise your "Contraption?"

Today I successfully mounted mine on the headtube of the frame of my bike. Let the testing commence...:ride:

i built a frame out of pvc that connected to the frame of my backpack... hence, why it would be a serious injury waiting to happy if you were to fall...
