I saw this over at utahmountainbiking.com:

Essentially it sounds like they are trying to drum up enough interest to begin some digging for some summer trails at Beaver Mountain. I don't know any real details other than what is on the above site, but it only took me 3 minutes to fill out their little survey. Please take a minute and fill it out (even if you don't really see yourself in Logan Canyon too often). Just looking for sheer numbers at this point.

Hey Gents - I'm the web builder and one of the promoters behind bikethebeav...
Thanks for all the support so far, we're getting some good turnout - just shy of 200 signatures right now. The more we can get, the better.

I realize we're shy on details on the site, and that's because there isn't a whole lot official to report yet. BUT, here's what is going down - we're busy drumming up support via that petition. The other half of this movement is an employee at the mountain (Jake in the rental shop), and he started this by beginning informal discussions with the owners/operators of the mountain.

They are interested in developing the mountain for summer mtb use. However, they want to have a sense of the cost/benefits. By the beginning of summer, we're hoping to have a proposal into them, including general figures of cost (can we organize volunteer development? who will design? what are suggested phases?)

Anyhow, if anyone who is interested thinks they can help out with promotions of the survey, and/or development of this proposal - step up and email a brother at singletracksavant at gmail dot com.
