Fantasy Canyon

I'll be up in Vernal for the next few weeks for work, any advice on shooting in fantasy canyon? Best time?

the teapot is of course, no longer there. but i here that sunrise and sunset are equally good. there's a write up in laurent martres photographing the southwest book.

Sunset is definitely a great time, but you might wanna get there a while beforehand because some of the formations will be shaded even half an hour or more before the sun goes down. I hit Fantasy Canyon in July 2007 and I was wishing I'd have gotten there a bit earlier.
