I don't think this has been posted before; I did do a search.

Made my knees go all wobbly!

I almost shat myself just watching that! I imagine that those two guys make a very good living. I might consider climbing one for... oh, I don't know... not less than $50K.

Anyone know if people have base-jumped from here...any links to videos?

Anyone fancy a rappel from the top? You bring the rope!

There was one patently false statement:
"In the case of a lightning storm there's no quick way down"

No *safe* quick way down. I need to go dry my palms now...:eek2:

osha allows them to free climb unprotected, but requires the use of a helmet? go figure.

madness..
"Freeclimbing.. it's easier and faster and most tower workers climb this way"

Sounds like laziness to me... the rest of the world uses two lanyards.. clip one to the structure, climb, clip a second connection to the structure, then remove the first connection, climb, repeat.
May be 'slower and harder'.. but in the rest of the modern world we prioritize safety over speed.

Only in America.. I can't believe your work cover people let the tower workers get away with this..
