The National Cave Rescue Commission (NCRC) is holding its National Week-long Seminar this year in Puerto Rico. http://www.caves.org/commission/ncrc/national/2011seminar/seminar2011.htm

This is a great training if you are looking to enhance your cave rescue or vertical caving skills.

Hey, I am so thankful to you for posting this info here. I checked out the link that you have given over her. I am very much interested in taking part in the training. I would soon make arrangement so that I will be free during that time of the year. I am so excited about it I can’t just tell you. I have never ever got any such experience in my life. So this time I will not miss this opportunity. :cold:

No problem. I was hoping that at least one person here would hear about the training and sign up. I'm glad to hear that you will go!

I can't say enough good things about this seminar. You will be exposed to many new concepts and skills and be taught by experts from all over the USA. Not to mention getting to hang out in spectacular Caribbean caves and getting to meet all the nice people in Puerto Rico. Even if you never have to assist in a real rescue, this course will help you to be a better, and safer caver. The cost of going there is not trivial, but is well worth it. Most trainings with equal level of hours and value cost three times as much. The instructors are all volunteers, so you are only paying for room, board (all meals included), and equipment.

Let me know if I can answer any questions for you about the training, the NCRC, or Puerto Rico.
