Looking to expand my knowledge of the St George area and the Red Cliffs Reserve looks pretty cool.

What are the top hikes you'd recommend and why?

We just did the Red Reef trail on Sunday and had a blast. We went up past the steps cut into the side of the canyon crossed over the stream and hiked up that canyon for a bit for a picnic lunch. We didn't go far as we got a late start. I don't know much about this area as we are just new to exploring it as well. We decided that we will go again when it is warm and we can walk through the water and get our feet wet. Anyway watching this thread with interest.

Arch Trail (http://mattsamazingsouthernutah.blogspot.com/2010/04/red-cliffs-desert-reserve.html) (http://http://mattsamazingsouthernutah.blogspot.com/2010/02/60-degrees.html)in the Babylon Section of the reserve
Why: Tons to see and do anything from Arches, to windows, to hike to the Virgin River. One time I was in this area we scrambled to the top of sandstone mountain (http://mattsamazingsouthernutah.blogspot.com/2008/12/more-red-cliffs-desert-reserve.html) and saw amazing 360 degree views of Hurricane, Zion, Pine Valley and the reserve itself.

Maybe cause it's close to home or otherwise I've always enjoyed The Red Mountain. Multitudes of ways to approach from casual strolls to 4th and 5th class scrambles. The 1/4 mile x 1 mile wide Navajo Sandstone "White" slickrock field on the north west edge of Snow Canyon SP has always been a favorite hang-out. Desert Lakes are a surety. Just a couple pics up top.

From the TH in Hurricane behind the Beer Dist, you can access Cottonwood Wash and follow a cairned trail out some beautiful rock formations. It's a bout 5 1/2 miles RT, none of it too difficult.
