Anyone know anything about Kitchen Canyon? Its somewhere in the Kanab/Paria area and contains Anasazi cliff dwellings.... that's about all I know.

37.29454 N 111.99410 W is the approximate confluence of kitchen canyon and the paria. it's on the "deer range point" quad. you start hiking form the old paria townsite, upstream for about 4 or 5 miles and it is on the left. you also access starlight canyon from here as well. thats about all i have for you.

Thanks for pointing me in a direction... with that info I might have found what I was looking for:
Trail Guide to Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument (http://books.google.com/books?id=yKvQYJWHazIC&pg=PA144&lpg=PA144&dq=starlight+canyon+ruins&source=bl&ots=vHosq9l-cT&sig=lHfi-A8FgO8h0WkSvbqIua1MnRU&hl=en&ei=kdMHTea9LIfEsAO-3fTuDQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=5&ved=0CCwQ6AEwBA#v=onepage&q)

You can also have a look at Michael Kelseys Hiking and Exploring the Paria River 5th Edition on Page 60.
There's a short description.
According to that, main attractions are: Kitchen Falls, Nipple Lake, the stone Monkey House and the ruins of the oldest ranch in this region (Kitchen Cabins)
Other than the mentioned trailhead at Old Paria Townsite you can start at the Nipple Ranch Road:
To go there it seems to be a very sandy road to the trailhead and you're crossing private land so you have to ask for permission.
(These are all informations from the book - not from myself !).
