For those of you who don't know him, Roger Arhart is a long-standing canyoneer (and backpacker/organic chemist/rocket scientist/outdoorsman), diagnosed with ALS last year. In the process of researching his disease, he developed some new ideas on the central nervous system and wrote them up.
