TCU is moving to the Big East Conference, where the Horned Frogs would be BCS busters no more.
A person with direct knowledge of the decision told The Associated Press on Monday that TCU is moving from the Mountain West Conference to the Big East starting with the 2012 season. The person would not comment publicly because the decision had not been announced.

This ought to endear more Texans to be fans. Hmmm. Texas in the big EAST. Since when did anything in Texas want to be associated to anything in the East? Interesting. Yeah, I know, money......

The Big East needed TCU to maintain their AQ status in the BCS.... and TCU needs a BCS conference.... win-win...

Yeah, but having lived in Texas, I am not sure this will give any Texans any warm fuzzy feelings to align with "Easterners". My feeling while living there was that Texans consider themselves, and their state, THE United States or rather State of America with the rest of the states as mere appendages to Texas. :haha:

It looks like TCU is going to get the shaft just like Utah did in 08. Well, neither team will have to worry about that in the future...

I'd hardly say TCU is getting the shaft.... 3 undefeated teams and TCU has the softest schedule of the bunch... hard to argue with the way this one is shaking out.... the SEC and Pac 10 are both a grind and a lot harder to go undeafeated then the MWC...
Now if one of the teams had a lose like in either of Utah's BCS seasons TCU would have a real reason to bitch.

After looking at the BCS bowl games I'd have to say the team getting screwed this year is Oklahoma.... they have to play a crappy Connecticut (8-4) in the Fiesta Bowl... YAWN....

Were the Saints the best NFL team before the playoffs started last year? I would have picked the Colts (or maybe San Diego or Minnesota) and so did the experts. Without a playoff it's all speculation.

I'm all for a playoff.... my point is that under the current system I think they picked the right teams to play for the "Mythical" National Championship this year.... which hasn't been the case in years past....
The National Championship game is really becoming the winner of the SEC plays the team perceived to be the best outside of the SEC for the title.... which is kinda funny because that was the original intent of the Rose Bowl, which pitted the best team from the west against the best team from the east....
