Destinations above Farmington

While looking for hiking destinations, I found an intriguing map.

Anyone been to some of the cooler sounding things above Farmington:

Window Cave. Hornet Mine. Patsy's Mine. Indian Princess Grave. Farmington Cave. Grist Mill Mine. Etc?

It's hard to believe that nobody on here has anything to post about the area.
I think everyone's looking further afield than right here on the Wasatch Front.

Either that, or the mines, caves, and graves are stupid. :shrug:

That's some steep country. Nice map, I would like to see the next map south to see how the Great Western Trail climbs up to the back of Bountiful.

I've been to Patsy's Mine, and explored up Steed Canyon (very cool btw!) and Rudd Canyon.

Patsy's Mine is a bit long (a few hundred feet) but easy to reach.

Steed Canyon is a minor bushwacking adventure. BUT it has some really, really cool waterfalls. We discovered one not on the maps but it's really impressive, not in size wise, but the surroundings and foilage all around it. Very cool!

Rudd Canyon is pathetic. Lots of bushwacking, not very fun, and steep. It has a little stream but no waterfalls. Not recommended.

The Indian Princess grave is interesting. She is buried underneath the rocks with her baby, and there is a plaque or sign with more info.

Davis Creek is a semi-long hike but goes past a great waterfall (one actually that I want to rappel next summer). The hike is a bit steep but it does have some good scenery, including a large meadow with LOTS of wildflowers.

And I do agree that a lot of people spend a lot of time down in southern utah, where there are lots of places here to explore. Granted most people on Bogley live in SLC and south of it...it's just the few of us who live above it - hence the hardly any responses.

Took a hike yesterday up to the grave. Cool little spot. I'll do a TR later with a pic or two. Looked for the Grist Mill Mine, but didn't find it. More to see & do...

The "Indian Princess Grave" sounds interesting. I would love to hear more about it in your TR. :popcorn:

I went out last week and found several of the mines. I don't have time to do a TR here, but have put it on my blog.
Patsy's Mine is the coolest.
The minerals at the window mine were pretty cool two.
The other two were just big holes pretty much.
