Lower Range Creek

Last week I rode my ATV over the Book Cliffs and down through Turtle Canyon so I could hike along lower Range Creek. I was there to find a geocache, but I also really wanted to hike all the way to the Green River. I'd already done the ride once before in July (http://www.bogley.com/forum/showthread.php?40167-Little-Park-Road-to-Range-Creek), so I didn't stop to take many photos while riding. The hike along Range Creek was pleasant, and I crossed the creek a total of 20 times. I made it to the geocache pretty easily, and saw the remains of a Fremont pit house on the way. I wanted to continue from the geocache to the Green River, but I did the math and realized that I didn't have enough daylight. The 60+ miles of riding on the rough dirt road took up most of the day, so this is something I'll have to return to do when the days are longer. Late fall is still a great time to hike Range Creek, though, so I don't regret going when I did.
