Ben Lomond

For what its worth, I headed up Ben Lomond Peak Saturday. I expected soft snow since it was pretty warm but was fooled! The trail high up on the east side was completely snow covered and crusted so solidly that I was unable to kick in steps so turned around at that point. I suspect that Ben Lomond will be done for regular hiking after this week but thought I'd pass that information along in case it helps anyone.
