In the past we have gone to Goblin Valley area and done a slot canyon, but the boys want to go to GV this time. Any advice or fun Scout activities to do @ GV????

We will be camped @ Temple Mountain BLM site and hopefully the pavions will be available.

Take them to do Little Wild Horse Canyon, Bell Canyon, & Wild Horse Windows, and of course try and play a game of capture the flag at night in Goblin Valley.

what to do at Goblin Valley?? I can easily spend an entire day searching every nook and cranny there and still want more.

You can have them find things - such as a way to the top on the north mesa (looking into the valley), finding the giant 60-ft pit, finding a sandstone cave large enough to fit 10people (comfortably) plus have lunch in there, have them look for geocaches (there are numerous ones there). There are plenty of things to do within GV. Oh yeah forgot, you can do steal the flag, or even laser-tag there. I did that when I was a scout. All fun activities.

And like DiscGolf said above, there are other goodies in the same area too.

Where do you park to get to Wild Horse Window? So long as thats the big hole in the side of the mtn as you turn S down the road to Goblin Valley. And how long is a trip up and back to the window? Looks like that could be a fun detour.

I was wishing for Ding Dang slot but the boys have spoken and so thats what we are doing.

Park here:

The hike is about 2.5 or 3 miles round trip. Here's my trip report (http://www.bogley.com/forum/showthread.php?40746-Wild-Horse-Window) from when I did the hike in September with my sons. It's an easy, fun little romp up the Reef, and the alcoves/arch are awesome (if you're into that kinda thing).

I have not been to the Wild Horse Window. Is it easy to go on top for a fun little rap through the thing?

Never mind. I just looked at Udink's link and sure enough, there were photos of the kids looking down into the hole. Looks like fun.

Yes, it's easy to get up on top. Just hike downstream 100-yards and you can scramble out the north side.
