DiscGo

We went camping last weekend as a family in Moab. The first day it rained pretty hard for most of it, but we did enjoy a great campfire with Richard Barron and his lovely wife. My boy was thrilled as always to have fire and marshmallows:

In the morning we hiked to Bow Tie & Corona Arch. My son did most of the hike himself.

Here is my son sitting under Bowtie Arch:

Corona was actually much larger than I had expected:

Then we hiked back to the car to do some Dinosaur hunting:

Dinosaur Tracks (thank you Shane!)

We also came across some petroglyphs (thanks again Shane and Climb-Utah.com):

Ruthie & My daughter took a nap, so I took advantage of that time by taking my son to town and buying him his own ice cream container and letting him eat as much as he wanted on the footbridge (My grandpa once bought me ice cream for breakfast as a child, and I have always loved him for that. So I was just trying to buy my son's affection while my wife wasn't looking :) ):

Then we went and hiked the Fisher Towers:

We ended up misreading a sign, and we took a wrong turn. It was honestly the scariest situation in which we have had our kids. That being said my son was amazing with how well he did hiking and scaling up the canyon:

You can't really tell from this picture, but it was kind of amazing that a two year old made it up this by himself:
Finally when we knew we were in the wrong place, we sent me up ahead to find a safer passage:

My daughter spotted her Daddy in a dangerous place:

And that made her laugh:

We hiked back down and found the right trail:

My son seriously did the whole hike on his own. We were worried he'd slow us down but he kept running a head and we struggled to keep up with him. It was a lot of fun.
