After getting suggestions from several of you guys on another thread, I ended up doing a half day of riding in Moab this last Saturday.
But first, we mountain biked Slick Rock on Friday. It was my first 'real' mountain bike experience as well as my first time on Slick Rock. What a blast. It was also fun to see the jeeps and dirt bikes on the trail.
Saturday we rode out on Kane Creek Rd. We were planning on simply checking out Hurrah Pass but took a left when we should have gone straight. So, I guess we ended up heading up the Kane Canyon trail. It was fun. It was more rugged than anything I've ridden and tested my skills (don't have many). =) It was a bit muddy but fun. We rode until we got to a ledge that looked too challenging for us. We did see a dad and his son (7yr old) riding the trail as well.
Then we rode up and over Hurrah pass and continued on for a while...maybe 45 mins or 1 hour. It was pretty straight forward but still fun.
I definitely need to get down there and try more trails...they are limitless! =)
