I think that was somewhere in southern utah but this was filmed all over the world. Friggin awesome movie!:nod:

The gray dirt looks like the Blue Gate member of the Mancos Shale, with Emery Sandstone boulders fallen from above. Probably around the Caineville/Factory Butte area, but could also be the Coal Cliffs near Emery, or maybe even somewhere along the Book Cliffs from Utah to Colorado.
