JONBOYLEMON

With snow visible from the house I thought we had better do one last run up for some fishing at my favorite little spot.
My 5 year old wanted to go and so we left the hoese @ 1:00 and were fishing by 1:45. Fishing was slow, but as usual, my 5 yr old managed to get them landed with worms under a bobber. The rain started about 30 minutes after we got there and just got heavier & heavier until it was a downpour. So after fishing in the rain for a few hours we called it a day, and a season, at my favorite fishing hole.
As for the fishing, he caught some fat little 13" rainbows and I got a few brookies. It was eeriely quite up there today. The snow level was probably only 100' above us when we left and I had a hard time getting out of the little road that goes out on the point as it was very wet and slick, but after 3 tries we climbed out of the hole. Thank heavens for 4WD.
Anyways it was another great day and my 5 year old is really the perfect fisherman, he is happy just to be fishing and even was ok with sending a few of the caught fish back into the water to fight us next year.
Also discovered wet cold hands when its 38 degrees quit working real well on a fishing pole once all the feeling is out of them.....
Also someone put a bunch of boulders on the peninsula and now you can only drive down a little ways off the road before you end up corralled in the new rock ring. Wonder why they did that?? Never seen it before and it looks permanent. Bummer.
