Repeat Jr. and a quick break were followed by Winter Camp, another canyon just outside and north of Arches NP just down the road from Repeat Jr. Again the hype was an easy canyon with few obstacles. The reality was another short, very scenic and fun 1-2 hour canyon with a big entrance drop that finishes with a 70 foot free hang into a wonderfully lit hallway. Another nice walkout thru and out the slot followed the rappel. We did not pull the rope on this big rappel too many chances for sticking. Repeat Jr. and Winter Camp are great easy canyons to do back to back.

The view from the top of Winter Camp always reminds me of melted candy for some reason.....

Wow - love the look of that from above. Been reading the beta on Shane's site about all these Moab canyons - I'm going to have to spend some more time there.

Oh nice. I need to start assembling a list of canyons that are stem-free and big guy friendly :haha:

Great pics. We did Repeat Jr.and Winter Camp on Saturday the 16th. Had a great time. Also have to thank Shane for the Beta.

The view from the top of Winter Camp always reminds me of melted candy for some reason.....
its does kinda resemble the old "...In the land of Dairy Queen, we treat you right?..." TV commercial way back in the day sans the Hot Fudge waterfall that poured into the willy wonka-like chocolate canyon. :haha:
