We hiked the West Fork of Misery a couple of weeks ago and then explored the East Fork last weekend.
We were the first through Misery's bottom half-mile since the rains. What were full swims two weeks ago are now only waste deep wades (nothing higher than the belly button on a 6'1" guy) and lots of (quick)sand.
Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending how you look at it), we released a lot of the water being held in the sand.
The first picture is on Sep 24th, and the second one Oct 9th.
