The Great Salt Lake September 2010

Last Thursday day a few of us met up around Saltair then made our way out to Stansbury Island where the conditions were pretty surreal. Just before sunset the winds picked and a storm cell moved in just in time to skunk our light. The conditions looked favorable again on Friday so I made a solo slog from the temple of the birds way out to the waters edge for sunset. Its always a good time around the Great Salt Lake.

Great stuff, Summit! The clouds really add to the series of images, especially as reflected off the lake.

Great stuff!! I really liked the shots with the water reflecting the clouds. They were all good though. :2thumbs: How long have you been shooting? I'm just starting to get into still photography and got my first DSLR (ok micro 4/3rds camera) not to long ago. It's a lot of fun.
