Very cool!! That is remarkable detail you have with the 400mm :2thumbs:.

I took some fall color shots yesterday, and had to include one of the moon...mine was only shot at 200mm, though.

We'll wait for more :popcorn:

Is it my eyes, the shadowing, or your lens that makes it look a little oblong?

I think that looks that way because the lit up portion is flaring out, making that edge look larger.

The pic you quoted is oblong,is not yet a full moon.(post #8)
The moon in post #11 is the best detail I've ever had.
It's actually very hard to get good detail out of a full moon. We'll see in a few days.
