How long are you exposing these awesome pictures for? Everyone is posting cool start pictures lately, i'm jealous.

This one is composed of 47 30-second pictures stacked to create the trails.

Do you have to snap each picture or will your camera just take all of them automatically?

I set the camera to continuous and use an external remote with a shutter lock and it takes each photo right after the other automatically.
