yeah, I was going to ask how good the book is. I hear good things but who has read it and would you recommend?

It was interesting, but I did get tired of what I felt like was him "perching" to me... I was also hoping to hear the inside story of the Blanding raids but the book covered less then I already knew from the local news.

The book did get me to realize one item.... I have never removed ANYTHING.... not an arrowhead, pot, shard or any other artifact.... and I've come across some pretty cool stuff in my travels.... I never really paid any attention to that detail before reading the book.... I've never dealt with the ethical reasons to take or leave items myself..... the reason I never took anything was because I figured if I wanted to see it again I knew where it was, and at home it would just get lost in the bottom of a box.

Anyhoo.... to me the book would have been better if it spent less time on ethics and more time on details.... the book also confirmed my belief that "archaeology" is nothing but government sanctioned plunder...
