Orderville Road Closure?

My neighbor just walked over and said he was headed to do Orderville on Friday. He did not know about the road closure. So ? is when the road does open at 8 how bad is the back up getting thru the tunnel and will he get out before dark? Taking 8 people.

If he is first "inline" then he should be fine, (no weekend traffic) If I have a full days hike on the east side I will show up early (7:30-7:45) and set across from the bridge and wait it out, they won't let people line up before 8, so when the guy starts moving the "road closed" sign I drive over and get very close to first up canyon everytime.

Now, there is the whole "what kind of group" are they discussion.
This is my .02, If they are near the first people that go up canyon, then they should be able to get through if they are a decent group of hikers...its doable for sure.
