Hey all, I'm heading down to Utah again, for some fun in the slots from Sept 11th to 18th.

Meeting up with Don and Cody on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday for some Egypt-area stuff. (Neon, Egypt 2/3, etc.)

I'll get into central Utah late on Saturday night. I have Sunday free, and can spend it anywhere, if someone has some ideas...

And is anybody around for some fun on Thursday/Friday? I leave early on Saturday for a flight out of Vegas.

you know i am jealous, right? if you get stuck on your own, davis canyon is an easy solo slot to do. make sure to check road conditions out towards "hole in the rock".

I'll be backpacking Death Hollow Friday thru Monday (9/10-9/13). Feel free to hike in and say hello if you don't find something better on Sunday! By Sunday I should be camped within a mile of the confluence with the Escalante.

Hole in the Rock Road is a mess, past Egypt.

Kevin. Bring some red sand back with you, will you? It looks like the NW is getting out the rain gear and changing to earth tone colours. Argh! ENJOY!

Yeah, checked the reports - heard it's nasty. I'll have a new Wrangler - a rental. The most rugged vehicle known to man! (Because it's a rental, of course.) Hopefully that will help along the road...

Cool - I'll keep it in mind, though I think there may be some drinking and carrying on taking place. If you can extend a bit, let me know - come visit with us!

I always bring red sand back - and keep finding it for months! I'd say everything around here will be back to green and grey pretty soon. Record rainfall yesterday! Yikes!

Thanks, Paul! Should be a good time! You have fun, too!

:whistling:

So... it worked?

:haha: Another time - Look forward to meeting you one of these days, Bill.

Well, it's looking like I'll be meeting up with about 6-8 people all together, over the week I'm in the area. Some old partners, some new to me, some new to canyons period. There will be a few canyons done... The will be trip reports - watch for them later in September!

What is the difference between a rental car and a Jeep? There are places you just wouldn't take a Jeep...:haha:
