I disagree... there are a lot more domes there and less flatness. Plus this appears to be taken from something fairly high above that ledge. But I could be wrong.

i think most of the domes are to the north of fold canyon and out of view to the left. stevens bench is what you would see between the crack and cliff, and i've traversed it, its pretty flat. the high point to the right has me wondering as well.

He nailed the area but not what we are looking at.

When I posted this I really thought the slightly visible notch in the center of the image would give it away.

As far as the next pic I would say the winner gets first dibs but any one should be able to toss a photo up during idle time.

The offroaders may be able to help on this one.

Hint 1: The rock formation in the background right is a famous landmark because it marks a very rough section of a famous 4X4 route.

Hint 2: The arch is officially named on the USGS maps.

Once you figure out the rock formation, it should be fairly easy (since you can just look at the maps and see which arches are in the vicinity of the rock formation).

No. I guess that leaves only one more choice of national parks (think of the park in Utah with rough 4wd roads).

Ojo arch??

No. Ojo Arch isn't in a National Park.

Identifying the formation in the background (click on the full size photo) will be the easiest way to pinpoint the arch.

The formation in the background marks one of the more notorious sections of 4wd road in this national park (and since we ruled Arches out, guessing the park should be easy). I'm willing to bet that several Bogley members have done this 4wd road (it's probably my favorite 4wd route).

Carpey was so close, I really should give it to him. The trail we were on can be looped into the Nualolo trail. It was technically the Awaawapuhi trail though. Many maps/guides just call them both the nualolo-awaawapuhi loop.

But, yes Ibenick, you are looking down (straight freaking down!) the Pali's of the Na Pali coast. But this is quite a bit further down the coast from the Kalalau Valley, which is the last valley reachable by the coastal trail.
