This was an event organized by my friend Jason for Utah geocachers. It is known as the Beatout hike and it was very cool. It took us 15 plus hours to complete, but the views were awesome and the company even better
We started at 4am meeting at the Bells canyon trail head. We left some cars there and then drove up to the White Pine trail head in Little Cottonwood canyon. With head lamps blazing we started up the trail. Over the course of the hike we passed Red Pine Lake. Summited Pfiefferhorn and then boulder hopped over the ridgeline to Chipman peak and then trudged across lighting ridge to South Thunder Mountain. From there we scrambled down to upper Bell Canyon Reservoir. We then bush wacked our way down the canyon to the falls and from there we followed the trail to the bottom.
We were exhausted but satisfied about completing this adventure. Here are some pictures from the Beatout.
