I have yet to even put a dent into the 300+ images I took so this is just a little preview. When all was said and done We hit up 3 sites, hiked a little over 8 miles, in about 6.5 hours.

These look great! What program are you using for your HDR, Photomatix or just Photoshop, or something else?

Everything was processed in LR3 and Photomatix.

Really though - is there some kind of off the radar hiking guide to all this, or a collection of your own research? How do you find out about this stuff...

I bet it is found something like this: old building with a "keep out. no tress passing" sign. I mean doesn't have that type of sign viable.
