Little Lo Spring, a tributary of Sycamore Canyon located in the Coconino National Forest about 27 miles southwest of flagstaff AZ, was our goal as a first foray into Mogollon plateau canyons.
Little Lo’s expensive entry/exit ante is compensated by the bounty of a bonny primal canyon containing narrows, pools, short rappels, down climbs and keeper pots. The two hour entrance hike is a hop down a thickly forested gully thru boulders, brush, ferns and fallen logs. The steep exit trail is up thru a thick forest of ponderosa, oak and douglas fir. The afternoon monsoons kept the hike out cool. Thanks to Todd Martin and his book - Arizona: Technical Canyoneering for the beta on this canyon and thanks to all of my canyoneering partners who made this trip great.

Thanks to Lorin French, Mike Binford and Paul French for Pics

I loved that stemming shot. That is awesome with everyone one lined up "in position". And a little rain to add to the excitement.
